It was a sunny day out. At Putrajaya, the federal administrative centre of the country. Located south of Kuala Lumpur. Putrajaya derived its name from the country’s first prime minister (Tunku Abdul Rahman). The words putra and jaya means son and success respectively. These are some shots taken of the building fronting the man-made Putrajaya lake. I love the white sail-themed canopy covering the walkway to the building. The canopies compliment the structure of the building and gives an ambience of a marina with sailboats. Well..there is no marina here. Just a small jetty and boats set for a cruise in the waters. Board a Tasik Cruise and enjoy the view of the lake covering an area of 650 hectares of lush greenery and waters. For more information click on Tasik Cruise.

Really beautiful pictures. I hope to visit Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding areas in the next 2 years.
Thanks Talen...there's quite a bit to see and experience here. Hope you visit KL soon :)
Never been there. So are there fishes in the lake? I've been to putrajaya once on bus. Ha =)
yet to take the cruise. :D
but been to Putrajaya numerous times, the place is lovely and quiet. Nice for a day outing.
Beautiful shots, MBL, esp the one of the boats - very Venice-like. Lovely! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Tekkaus, didn't see any fish in the lake..suppose there aren't any. But I know they have ppl into water sports i.e. kayaking at the lake.
I've taken the cruise before. There was a tour guide who explained and described all the landmarks as we cruised along the lake. Quite a nice experience. I like Putrajaya for its beautiful and quiet surroundings.
I haven't visited Putrajaya! It's beautiful!
*writes down on notebook - must visit*
such great photos, the canopies made for a picture perfect scenery.
